Seychelles in The Guardian's The Report

The Guardian Newspaper's The Report has today, Thursday, 2 February 2012, published a 24 page Special on Seychelles. Produced by the Report Company, it looks at the Country's investment, foreign policy, finance, energy, environment, sustainability, tourism, leaders, infrastructure, education and fishing. Dr. Nirmal Shah, Nature Seychelles Chief Executive was one of the people interviewed for this report. His Q & A appears here.

Under the Environment and Sustainability sections, the report also highlights Nature Seychelles efforts in climate change mitigation through its coral reef restoration project and Cousin Carbon Neutral Initiative.

“The environment has to have some meaning,” Nirmal Shah says in his interview. “It’s not worth having airy fairy schemes. We make it real.”
